Hey everyone! My name is Amber Cox. I graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2010, and then from Salem College in Winston Salem in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Psychology. From there, I started my career in education and earned my Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate from UNC Charlotte. This is my first year at PCHS, having previously taught at Reynolds High School in Winston Salem for 3 years.
I am an avid equestrian, and have shown and trained American Quarter Horses my whole life (shoutout to our new Equestrian Club!). When I was 15 I won a world championship title in the Western Pleasure Division with my horse Im Sparkling Hot. These days, I just ride other people's horses and help them learn to grow in their riding abilities! In my (limited) spare time, I like to try to work out, cook anything fancy, and hang out with friends. |
